Resources: Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex

Carers in general are under-recognised for the valuable work they do. Some groups of carers are ‘hidden’ due to age, culture, sexuality or gender identity. Carers in the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (GLBTI) community face specific challenges in their caring roles.

Carers NSW recognises diversity in caring and seeks to provide information and support that is tailored to the needs of carers in all caring circumstances. Contact the following organisations for information, support and assistance.
